In Oslo you can get them at Secret society, I am certainly going to have a look. She has also made the beautiful jewellery for Zac Posen fall 2009.

This is the best jewellery I have seen in a long time! They are everything I could ever dream of. Romantic, old-looking and rock'n'roll!

My new, homemade crochet bikini

I am not really a big fan of crochet bikinies, but I was really bored in the winter-break so I thought I could give it a try. It might be a sign that I am tired of snow, and I really am. You might be one of those ski-lovers, but I am and will always be a beach-lover. Right now I could almost kill for a week under the sun. Spring-summer fashion is also much more fun then winter. I am tired of layering, coats and big boots. So are you a winter or a summer person? My mum has this huge handcraft-book from the 70's, and they had a very simple recipe on how to make a bikini. I didn't want that white see-through thing or the beige surf style. I think black and cream is much more sofisticated. The lace makes it more special and a bit more feminine. What do you think?

Long time, no see / OFW

It's been way too long! way too long... I don't really know how to explain it, but i guess we just haven't had enought energi. Our schedules have been packed with theater practice, homework and more homework, but lets talk about something a bit more fun. FASHION! Here in Oslo it's been fashion week, and Ida and I went to see Elise Birkeland, but we forgot our camera... But I also went to another one with Iselin Engan! I went with Susanne who has the blog In Style of Susanne.

The show was great, a bit dark angel I thought with the blacks and whites. There was some impressive well-cut jackets and flowing silk dresses. Loved it! Susanne and I agreed that we wanted the brockade top and skirt.

Here I am in my Karl Lagerfeld for H&M dress, vintage purse and earrings. They are my favorite, makes everything a bit more interesting. What do you think about the red lipstick? I have to admit that I not always feel quite myself wearing it..

Even if the clothes was amazing, the most exiting thing was that the norwegian supermodel Iselin Sterio did the show! I think she is amazing!

I am terrible sorry we haven't posted anything this year, but Ida and I will have some exiting news soon, so I hope you all gives us a second chance!

Finally, all the presents are rapped in and all the christmas cards are written. This has been a busy day, but now I'm finally finished and I have taken place in the sofa! Watching tv and really enjoying the smell of the beautiful christmas tree. Now, I can really feel that I love christmas just as much as I did when I was six. Isn't it marvelous?! Tonight I hope you all will sleep as tight as I will, all though I'll probably wake up quite early because I am so excited! Merry christmas to you all!

These pictures were taken last year on christmas day in the Vigelands park in Oslo. The weather was so beautiful and the ground was really icy, almost like glass. Ahh, memories.

Today Ida and I want to share our passion for cashmere. It's actually kind of wierd that something like a scarf can be luxurious, and some may think cashmere is overprized. Maybe it is, but a really nice cashmere scarf makes your wool coat from H&M look expensive. That's what I call well spent money!
By the way... do you like it when I post drawings? This one is a drawing of Ida in her beige coat and Paul & Jo cashmere scarf. If you like the drawings I have more on storage..

Paris Je t'aime!

I have unfortunately only been to Paris once... And I am longing back! The light in Paris, the colors... everything is just beautiful!

This movie is the most wonderful thing ever made...and the perfume smells soo good!
My uncle is moving to Paris for a month in February with his art school, and my cusin are going to live in Paris for four months this spring. If I am jealouse? You bet I am... If I ever go there again (and thats just a matter of time)I am going to bring this Moleskin City Guide .
I would eat croissants every morning wearing lace, pearls and red nailvarnish...

and by lunch-time I would have drinks with my cute little dog...

and the rest of the day I would spend shopping, walking in the park and writing a novel. I would stay out into the early hours, flirting and dancing and live a truly bohemian life.

Shopping for the perfect gift...

It's always a great feeling giving away the perfect gift. To find something personal and beautiful for another person can be even more satisfying than finding something for yourself. I love that feeling. Finding the perfect gift, on the other hand, is not that satisfying... Aching legs, freezing hands and not a gift in sight. That's one of the rare occasions when I hate shopping.

Yesterday we celebrated hannah's birthday, and although we were all tired after a busy week, we had a very good time. This week is going to be great because we have less to do at school, and we all have time to get into the christmas spirit. Thursday and yesterday the Art Academy of Fine Art in Oslo opened their studios. It was a very interesting exhibition, and my little sis thought it was much more fun than the Munch. I thought it was very inspiring, and I loved that it was so much different. It was videos, dead birds, paintings, fotos, strange rooms you could walk into and sculptures. The drawing above was one of my favorites. It is made by Andreas Bennin.
What I really liked about this exhibition was that you really felt the connection to the artists. Not only because the art was very personal, but also because they were all hanging out drinking beer on shabby couches. They were all ultra cool, and I still regret that I didn't take some pictures of them...

When I saw this I actually thought that the person in the corner was alive...

This one was very cozy. You had to take of your shoes, and it was like walking into a belly. I almost felt like a fetus again.

Today is my birthday!!! I woke up to a white cream cake and roses and my family singing me a birthday song! I ate cake and drank warm chocolate in bed. It has been a great morning, but unfortunately I am ill. A horrible headache have terrorized me all night and I have almost lost my voice. Isn’t that typical? Off course I had to get ill on my birthday… But anyway, I got some lovely pearl earrings, an ipod, the Sex and the City movie and about four lip glosses. So today I am just going to stay at home and watch Sex and the City. Grandma and grandpa arrived from the Grand Canarias this morning, so I will celebrate with them later… Hope you have a wonderful day! Happy birthday to me!

What do you think? We have thought of getting one since we started, and I have been like "Ida? Don't we need a header?" and we have thought of everything from a picture of the two of us, or big letters with Ida and I sitting on top of the letters... But then I found this book with lots of old drawings, and I got a bit inspired and drew this idea, and we both loved it. Hey! Finally weekend! And we are getting closer and closer to christmas:) (hehe we can't wait.)
I really like the winter and I'm really looking forward to go skiing. Of course, I must admit that the winter is very dark (where did the sun go??), when I go to school it's dark and when I go home.. It makes you want to stay home in bed with lots of blankets and hot chocolate or something. Well,.. you can't just stay in bed all winter, so therefore we say: get up and dress up. A very stressful week...

Ida and I are so sorry we haven't posted anything this week! It's just been crazy with tests, theatre practice and family... Today I woke up way to late and then I remebered that we had a math test so I was pretty stressed out. But since a already was way to late anyway, I decided that it was no reason to hurry. On my way to school I bought a chai latte to go in my favorite coffie place called Kaffa. They make the best coffie every, and I adore their Chai Latte! If you live in Oslo you should really pay a visit some time! On my way home I popped by Gimle Perfumery to by myself a christmas present. I bought a Esteé lauder parfume called Private Collection Amber Ylang Ylang. I absolutely love it! Gimle has the best service ever, and I could been there all day!

In the weekend I saw Annie Hall (picture from style.com)! It was really inspirational! I love Woody Allen, he is so funny and intelligent. Diane Keating looks amazing as Annie Hall, and all the grandpa vests, ties and baggy chions looks ultra cool. The look is very relaxed, but wearing it she looks intellectual and sexy. Today I was inspired by the movie, so I wore some menswear. I wish I had a bigger shirt and a black tie, but I did the best I could. I thought I would feel less feminine wearing it, but acctually I felt more like a woman than in a long time. It's like the menswear works like a contrast.I hope you had an amazing weekend! I Want Candy...

We had a school project about the classical theater, and then we saw Mari Antoinette. It's not like we haven't seen it before, Ida and I love it, but I have been so into candy-colors afterwards. I took these pictures of things I love in candy hues.
What I love about Marie Antoinette is that I can relate to her as a young girl. The shopping, partying and all the pretty things that she fills her live with is just the same things and activities I fill my live with. When my life is stuffed with material beauty I am not any happier, my room is just way much messier. So if you like me is tired of all the stuff, buy less and give more. Lately I am trying to convince myself with that my identity is not defined upon what I have, it is my actions that defines who I am. If you think that sounds too boring, you can, like me calm yourself with the fact that it's better both for your financial condition and for the planet. The song "I Want Candy - Bow Wow Wow" and some seriouse window shopping will cheer you up! Happy shop-stop!

The many ways to do lace...

I am really obsessed with lace lately... I love the way it symbolizes both grief, sensuality, innocence, religion and bad taste at the same time. When you wear lace you are dressed and undressed at the same time. I really like that thought. Prada had some lovely lace this season which was very interesting because the look was so conservative. I loved the blouses at Givenchy and the lace dress at Stella McCartney... But if I should pick one show, the Alexander McQueen show was the highlight for me. The gothic lace at the start of the show made me fall in love.

The church was the first to use lace, so I think it a paradox that we use it to look sexy... I love lace underwear, especially white for some reason...
This is my favorite lace blouse and a bolero with lace details. They are both vintage from Tonica Vintage.

Casually dressed for a walk in the beautiful autumn sun! I know the summer is over and that's bad and everything, but I must say I really like the autumn too:) I had wonderful time, and spent the rest of the day seeing old films with some friends. My favourite actress is Audery Hepburn, and among the all time favourite films are; roman holiday, breakfast at tiffany's, paris when it sizzles, funny face, my fair lady, sabrina. Other old favourite films of mine are casa blanca, singin' in the rain, the pink panther films and many others.

Lace, tea and Marie Antoinette

Today I was at the National Gallery and saw all the beautiful paitings. The Madonna and Scream by Munch was up on the wall again, and I had a wonderful time. I wore my very comfortable Cheap Monday jeans, some cool sandals and a off-the-shoulder vintage blouse with a lace trim. Isn't it adorable?

I also went to Salon de Thé. The restaurant is in the french room, and was a gift from France to Norway. It is decorated with green marble and some statues. One illustrates Marie Antoinette. The room was resently renovated by the achitect Kristin Jarmund. She has done an amazing job. The pink cube and the green marble works wonderful together! Wallpaper have even called it a design masterpiece. I loved it, loved it, loved it! When I sat there enjoying my tea, I kind of felt like Marie Antoinette in the movie by Sofia Coppola. That film is one of my favorites! I tried a very interesting tea which tasted like campfire. I realize that it sounds pretty dreadful, but it acctually tasted kind of good. It was called Lapsang souchong, and you should really try it just because it was so different. I guess it is almost like drinking a fine wine, a experience. Only that I love wine, and this was... more campfire-ish... Ida is in Kiel right now, and I am really enviouse, but she deserves it. Anyway, have a wonderful weekend!

Halloween is comming up and we took some pictures inspired of Givenchy and Ysl with the dark goth-like colours. We also tried to look good (the typical halloween style, scary, byt yet sexy haha;)), but sadly we ended up looking more scary and insane than we would have wanted, haha..:) but still, it's fun to dress up!
Anyway, if you have seen "The wizard of Oz" you might se that we look quite similar to the green witch. Haha <3

We love the tough military look, it's so cool! At the runway we saw beautiful models dressed in uniform jackets and they showed us so many inspiring ways to wear a military inspired outfit. Check out brands like Moschino, Temperly and Ralhp Lauren (for example) at style.com (autumn collections 08).

You can combine military jackets with long leather boots and you'll look so cool! If you want, you can soften the look with a few feminine details, like for example a blouse, or as we did, with long stockings and a pink lipstick <3

Holy holiday!

Thank god for the holidays! I spent a whole wonderful week in spain, as i always do every atumn holiday. I visit my grandfather's house, which is amazing, and I always have a marbeles time! This year, I went with my beautiful blonde cousin, Kathrine.

Of course, there are a lot of great places to shop in Spain, if you are looking for cheap and chic, go to zara (which is even cheaper in spain), mango, stardivarus, berskha. If you are willing to pay a bit more, we definately recomend you visit the spanish brand Massimo Dutti. It's offers clothing and accesories for both men and women. We are huge fans. The best MD shops are to find in Barcelona:)but we found one in Benidorm as well;)

Spain is soo beautiful! These pictures are taken in Alaz del pi, Benidorm and other places in the Costa Blanca area. <3

Mulberry-therapy

Ida and I are so sorry we have not had the chance to post anything this week. Everything have been all to hectic! it seems like the teachers have decided to have all the big prosjects at the same time. So I really needed to go shopping, but since I wasn't finished on working with a theater prosject on the entertainers in the middel-age before about seven, most stores was closed. Yet I had to have a sneak-peek into Mulberry's shop window. Ida and I love Mulberry, and my ideal purse is the big, brown bayswater... ahh.. If I am in a bad mood, I just poop in and lift the purse up and hold on to it for a minute or so. That is the best kind of therapy I can think of.

I wore my vintage blouse and a pearl necklace. As you see, I am looking quite tired, so I really needed the Bayswater-therapy.

Wet and Cold

I was walking my dog with my little sister when it started raining. We where about half an our from home, without an umbrella. I have not been this cold an wet in a very long time. On top of the rain it began to thunder. Surrounded by trees I have to admit I felt pretty unsecure. However, this jacket at least kept my shoulders dry.

A doll's house

Hannah and I went to see one of the most famous plays in Norway written by the most famous norwegian writer, Henrik Ibsen. The play, "A doll's house" is wonderful and very exciting. They put it up all over the world, so we recomend you to go and see it. We saw it at "Oslo Nye", a theater in Oslo.
we had to ad some pictures of a beautiful doll house which belongs to hannah's cute little sister. We simply adore it, hope you do too.

Don't know about you guys, but we simply loved the DKNY "ready to wear" fall 08 collection. It's perfect for cute and fashionable girls just like oss:) We loved the little short dresses with beautiful fabrics with the colours of the autumn combined with black tights, high heels and tough leather jackets. Bare faced

I have had blemished skin for some time now, and just as you one day have to accept that your legs never will be long and hot, I have accepted that this is something I have to live with. I have to some extend tried to conceal it, but I have not covered my face up in foundation. I have applied a bit concealer where needed, and then brushed on som i.d. mineral powder. Every morning and night I have used cleanser, toner and lotion. I have learned to live with it, but some weeks ago my skin went from ok to bad. That I could not accept, so I booked a facial.
Today was the day of the facial, and the lovely facialist peeled and polished and squeezed until I almost cried. Now she sounds horrible, but she was really nice and had the most amazing skin. I will have another hour of horror in about two weeks because the facialist said "Let's put an end to this...", and she gave me a discount! She is just the best!
I have to start using a serum with acid from MD Formulations and say good-bye to my beloved clinique. (Not because clinique is doing the harm, I just need something stronger to kill the acne.)I am looking forward to a future where I don't need to accept blemished skin! prospects not looking good right now, I am red as a tomato...

I am so sorry we haven't updated for so long, but you see, Ida has been in Spain and I have been at my cottage... I bet Ida has some pictures from Spain, and before the fall-break we went shopping and took some really great pictures... coming soon...
Just arrived from the country, and in the driveway some beautiful roses welcomed me. Here in Norway it is really cold right now, so it's a miracle that they still are blooming! My guess is that winter is here any minute, so I thought this might be my last chance to wear my cute rose tights.

Today was last day at school before falls one-week-off! Ida and I celabrated on our favorite cafè... The funny thing is that the reason we love it is because of their free and totally delicious jam. We often just share a scone and then we eat like, 3 cups of jam each... Anyway, the colors are just beautiful right now, really passionate... So why not paint your pout in this seasons color? I used a cliniqe lipliner called bonbon and the darkest estee lauder lipstick I could find, and discovered that the new pout made me quite romantic... Today I stopped by my favorite beautyshop and bought a delicious lipgloss. It's from Este Lauder and it smells like candy! I love the berry color and how it feels so soft, not sticky at all. For some time now I have sticked religiously to a pink lipstick from MAC, but with a new season ahead I wanted something darker. I have always loved lipgloss, but you get kind of tired of getting your hair all over your mouth every time it's blowing! But apart from the hair thing, I must say that I love shiny lips.

I really wanted to show you how it looked like, but at the moment I am feeling sick, and would never justify the gorgeous color. So, I drew a quick drawing...

After a quite exhausting weekend, I was thrilled to escape. There is no better place to do so than my summer house. Dressed up in one of the 15 straw hats we store there, my grandpa's sweater, woolstockings and paint-stained wellingtons I finally felt comfy and relaxed. I decided to go for a walk in my vagabond outfit. And there, all alone in the forest except for a little mouse, I missed people.
